Founded in 2009
Miracle Babies was founded in San Diego in 2009. Miracle Babies began by accepting financial assistance applications from 2009 until 2019. In 2020, the San Diego Chapter transitioned from the Financial Assistance Program to Transportation Assistance. With the Miracle Babies Shuttle Service, families can be picked up from their home and dropped off at their baby’s hospital.
In addition to Transportation Assistance, Miracle Hours are hosted monthly at five San Diego Hospitals UCSD, Rady Childrens Hospital, Tri-City Medical Center, Sharp Mary Birch, and Scripps La Jolla. Care Packages are also delivered to twelve local hospitals. Each family receives a Care Package regardless of need. The San Diego Chapter hosts three signature events every year, Breakfast at Tiffanys, Superhero 5K, and the annual Gala. The San Diego office conducts all Miracle Babies operations and facilitates the Transportation Assistance program for both the San Diego and Orange County areas.
Founded in 2015
The Orange County Miracle Circle founded by Lance and Morgan Stern supports the work of Miracle Babies through fundraising, community outreach and advocacy of our programs.
In Spring 2016, Miracle Babies started providing financial assistance to parents with newborns admitted in the NICU at Childrens Hospital Orange County (CHOC) and UCI. The Financial Assistance Program in Orange County ended in 2019 and has followed the San Diego chapter with Transportation Assistance. Funding at CHOC and UCI has been possible due to the Miracle Circle of Orange County.
In addition to the transportation program, the OC Miracle Circle distributes care packages and hosts Miracle Hours monthly at UCI Medical Center.
The OC Miracle Circle hosts two annual events, Breakfast at Tiffanys in the spring and the Superhero 5K in the fall.
